Shifts on mobile
Active shifts, today's shifts, history, coverage, disputes, and the running shift, all on your phone.
The Shifts tab is your work queue on the phone. It groups shifts into Active Shifts, Today's Shifts, and Shift History, with a summary line like "4 scheduled, 1 checked in, 2 ended".
Filters
Three chips narrow the list:
- Today: everything scheduled for today.
- Active: what is running right now.
- History: finished, missed, and cancelled shifts.
Shift coverage
A Shift Coverage strip shows shift load by day across the next 7 days, so you can see the week ahead at a glance, with a legend noting when a day needs review or has exceptions.
What a shift card shows
Each card carries the shift name, its time window, recurrence (One time, Daily, Weekly, Every 2 weeks, Monthly, Yearly), and status. Running shifts show elapsed time ("2h 14m elapsed", "Just started").
The action button adapts:
- Check In when the window is open, with a confirmation ("Start check-in for this shift? Your attendance timer will start immediately").
- Continue to re-enter a running shift.
- A reason when it cannot start: window ended, already ended, or check-in not open yet.
Stats and quick actions
Counters across the tab read Active, Upcoming, Done, Missed, and Review. A Quick Actions card opens the full Calendar for your schedule. Empty states are honest: "No shifts today, enjoy the calm", "Nothing is running right now", "No completed shifts yet".
The shift calendar
The calendar view filters to All, Shifts, or External, so your Sharkforce shifts and connected calendar events can sit in one timeline. Days with nothing scheduled read "Nothing scheduled here yet."
Inside a running shift
Opening a shift shows the step list: check-in, breaks, tasks, and wrap-up. Every completed step is tappable to review, the current step is marked, and the header keeps a pause and resume control plus the running total. Clock Out and Cancel Shift ask before leaving.
The Timeline of a finished shift shows Checked in and Checked out times, or No check-in recorded when the window passed without one.
Disputing a shift
If a record looks wrong, Dispute this shift opens a form: describe what happened and why the record needs review, then Submit dispute. The app confirms first ("Your admin will be notified and will review this shift record"), tells you it was sent, and warns if an active dispute already exists for that shift. The outcome lands in your notifications.
Statuses
Shifts carry the same status labels as the rest of the app: Scheduled, Ready, Checked in, Done, Failed, Cancelled, Missed, Late, Left early, Incomplete, Auto-closed, Auto-closed incomplete, Auto-closed no schedule, No-show, Missed expired, Assignment expired, Workflow inactive, Timed out, Stalled, Under review, and Exception.
Everything on this tab mirrors the web Shifts surface. Build and assign shifts on the dashboard; the phone is where your team lives them.
