Your shifts
Start, continue, and keep track of your shifts from the My Shifts page, with today's duties, check-in, and your full history.
My Shifts ("View and manage your scheduled shifts") is your work queue. It is organized around what you should do right now, with your full history below.
The hero
A greeting strip at the top reads your situation and says it back to you:
- "In progress:
{shift}" when a shift is running. - "Ready to start:
{shift}" when one is open. - "Starts
{time}:{shift}" for the next one coming up. - "No shifts scheduled for today." or "No shifts assigned yet." when the queue is empty.
A badge marks your state: On Duty, Ready, Scheduled, or Off Duty.
Today's Check-in card
The Today's Check-in card ("Time, place, and how to check in") lays out everything you need before you start:
- Location: where the shift happens.
- Time: the scheduled window, or "No schedule set".
- Check-in Method: how you will verify, such as QR Code, Face Scan, or GPS.
The action button adapts to the window: Begin when it is open, Continue to re-enter a running shift, or a "Your shift starts {time}" note when it is still upcoming, with the reminder "Make sure you're at the correct location and have your verification ready. You can check in once your shift time begins." A shift that is not open shows Not Ready.
When nothing is assigned, the card says "No shifts scheduled for today" and "Enjoy your day off! Check back tomorrow or contact your manager if you think this is an error."
Recent Activity
The Recent Activity strip ("Your recent activity and shift history") shows your Last Shift, This Week count, and a Shifts completed total with an encouragement ("On track", "Keep it up").
Shift History
The Shift History table lists your past shifts with Shift, Duration, Outcome, and Action columns, plus when it started ("Started {date}"). View details opens the complete record; "No previous history" when there is nothing yet. A pager lets you choose "Shifts per page".
Opening a record shows a full summary: Started, Ended, Duration, Outcome, the Check-in used (QR Code, Face Scan, or GPS/Location Zone), and a Step Breakdown of each step (Check-in, Task, Break, Step, Photo check, Photo evidence, File evidence) with its own status. File a dispute is available from the same view when the record looks wrong (see Reports and disputes).
What the outcomes mean
Every shift ends with a precise outcome label so you can tell at a glance how it closed:
| Outcome | What happened |
|---|---|
| Completed / On Time | All required tasks were submitted. |
| Late | Finished, but after the scheduled window. |
| Left Early / Early departure | You clocked out before the end. |
| Clocked Out | You clocked out before finishing required tasks. |
| Incomplete | You started but did not finish all tasks. |
| Auto-closed | The system closed it at the scheduled end. |
| Auto-closed, incomplete | Closed at the end with tasks left. |
| Auto-closed, no schedule | Rolled over at the day boundary. |
| No-show | Scheduled, but you did not check in. |
| Missed, expired | The assignment expired before the shift started. |
| Assignment expired | Your assignment expired mid-shift. |
| Workflow inactive | The workflow was deactivated mid-shift. |
| Timed out | Hit the 48-hour hard timeout. |
| Stalled | Closed after 24 hours of inactivity. |
| Cancelled | You or an admin cancelled it. |
| Failed | The shift hit an error and needs attention. |
| Exception | Something unusual; check the details. |
When you open a shift at the wrong time
If you open a shift link when it cannot run, a banner explains why instead of failing silently: "outside your scheduled working hours", "not scheduled for today", "already completed", "automatically closed by the system" (it lists the reasons: over 48 hours, schedule ended, assignment expired, or no activity for 2 hours), "cancelled", "failed", "no longer active", or "could not be found".
The step-by-step check-in flow itself is covered in Check in and out.
