Exports & Refresh
Export Functionality
Export Formats
When export is available, you'll be able to download your reports in two formats:
-
CSV – Spreadsheet format for Excel, Google Sheets, or payroll systems
- Includes all data from the selected time period
- Organized in columns (date, hours, attendance, breaks, etc.)
- Easy to import into other systems
-
PDF – Document format for printing or sharing
- Formatted report with charts and tables
- Professional layout suitable for reviews or payroll
- Includes all overview cards, charts, and history tables
What's Included in Exports
Exports include all data visible in the report for your selected time period:
- Overview statistics (total hours, earnings, attendance rate, etc.)
- Daily work history with timestamps
- Attendance records (check-ins and check-outs)
- Break sessions (type, duration, status)
- Workflow execution history (completed, failed, missed)
- Your profile information (role, current streak, average shift length)
Note: Exports only include data you have permission to see. Your manager may have access to additional data in their reports.
Export Tips
- Export for specific pay periods using custom date ranges
- Use CSV for payroll systems that need raw data
- Use PDF for sharing with managers or HR
- Exports are generated on-demand, so they always include the latest data
Filter Behavior
Automatic Updates
When you change the date range or filters:
- The report updates automatically (no need to click a button)
- There's a 300ms delay to prevent excessive updates while you're selecting dates
- Charts and tables refresh with new data
- Overview cards recalculate instantly
Why the delay? It prevents the system from making too many requests while you're adjusting the date picker. Once you stop changing dates, the report updates within half a second.
Date Range Validation
The system validates your date selections:
- Start date must be before end date
- Date range can't exceed system limits (if any)
- Invalid ranges show an error message
If you see a validation error, adjust your date selection and try again.
Empty States
No Data Scenarios
If you see empty charts or "No data" messages, it means:
- You haven't worked during the selected time period
- You haven't checked in or completed any workflows
- The date range doesn't include any of your activity
Fix it: Try selecting a different date range that includes days when you actually worked. If you're sure you worked during those dates but see no data, contact support—there may be a data sync issue.
Refresh – Click the refresh icon to update the report with the latest data immediately. This forces a reload of all data, useful if you just completed a check-in or workflow and want to see it reflected in the report.
Real Situations
Report not loading?
→ Check your internet connection. If it persists, try refreshing the page or selecting a different date range. The report needs an active connection to fetch your data.
Numbers look wrong?
→ Check these things:
- Make sure your date range includes the correct time period
- Verify that all your check-ins are recorded (check Attendance history)
- Check that your workflows are marked as completed (not missed or failed)
- Ensure break sessions are properly recorded
If something still looks off after checking these, contact support—there may be a data calculation issue.
Charts are empty?
→ You might not have any data for the selected time period. Try:
- Selecting a different date range that includes days when you worked
- Checking that you actually checked in and completed work during those dates
- Verifying your check-ins and workflows are recorded in their respective sections
If you're sure you worked during those dates but see no data, contact support.
Export button not working?
→ Export functionality may still be in development. Check with your manager or support to see when exports will be available. In the meantime, you can take screenshots of the report for your records.
Report updates slowly?
→ The system has a 300ms delay when you change filters to prevent excessive updates. This is normal. If the report takes more than a few seconds to load, check your internet connection or try refreshing the page.
Date picker not working?
→ Make sure you're selecting valid dates (start before end). If the picker won't open, try refreshing the page. Some browsers may need permission to use date pickers.
